The LSS InfoLab (464 Van Hise Hall) is open to all UW students needing to work with faculty-assigned courseware, word processing, and WiscWorld services. It contains 33 PCs and 10 Macintoshes. The lab hours are limited to weekdays only. Printing is available with a Debitcard. You can also bring in your own laptop to print a document.
The LSS InfoLab recently replaced all our PC and Macintosh laptops with dual-booting MacBooks. The new laptops are now available for checkout.
NOTES:
Our lab attendants do not receive special training on the software in the lab. However, feel free to ask them for assistance - if they can help, they will. You should also check the FAQ page, and the help files included with the software. For other questions, or to obtain the tips or handout material in an alternate format than provided on this web site, contact the individuals below.
Questions or Comments about the LSS InfoLab can be addressed to Sue Weier (sue@lss.wisc.edu), the InfoLab Supervisor, or Brad Schantz (brad@lss.wisc.edu), the InfoLab Project Assistant. The phone number for the LSS InfoLab is 262-4575. This number will reach the lab attendant working in the InfoLab.
