L&S Learning Support Services announces two separate workshops:  one on WiscChat and another on delivering video in a Teaching Portfolio.

Workshop: Delivering Video for a Teaching Portfolio

L&S Learning Support Services will conduct a workshop on using QuickTime (Pro) and iDVD to deliver the video portion of a Teaching Portfolio.  These concepts build off of the workshop on obtaining useful video footage for a portfolio, but attendance at the previous workshop is not a prerequisite.  The workshop is open to all college instructors (faculty, staff, and  TAs).

New DVDs Available for Checkout from Learning Lab

LSS has recently acquired DVDs in the following languages and topics:

Arabic, South Asia, Chinese, Czech, Dutch, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, Tamil, and General Interest (see Interdepartmental category).

The new DVDs are available for checkout in the the LSS Learning Lab, 259 Van Hise Hall. Here is a list:

The Van Hise InfoLab (464 Van Hise Hall) is a drop-in computer lab open to all UW students.

The LSS main office (279 Van Hise) is normally open from 8 a.m. to noon, and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. All LSS facilities (offices and labs) are closed Saturday and Sunday.
