Media Players: Choosing one you like

April 6, 2011 by Karen Tusack

There are many media players available.  Some will come with your operating system, and others you can download for free.  Choosing between them depends primarily on which operating system you have and your own preferences about which one you like to use.  Some players can play a broader array of video formats, so if you are having trouble opening a video or DVD you may try another.  This table can guide you to the players available for each operating system.
