Setting a Firefox Live Bookmark for Digital Learning Lab Files

Mostly likely, the media files for your course will be set before the semester and they will not change. In this scenario, a live bookmark is not as advantageous as it would be if the course files were constantly updated. One benefit of using a live bookmark, however, is that all media files will be bookmarked (with your course as a heading) instead of solely bookmarking the course listing.
Setting a Firefox live bookmark:
- Go to the Digital Learning Lab site: lss.wisc.edu/digital-learning-lab
- Click on the
image for your course. - Click on the "Subscribe Now" button at the top of the page.
- In the dialog box, you can name the bookmark and decide where to place it within your bookmarks. Click Add.
- Your bookmark will now contain all of the media files for your course and it will update automatically (Firefox checks for updates every hour).
