LSS Welcomes Antonella Caloro

Antonella Caloro

L&S Learning Support Services is happy to welcome Antonella Caloro back to LSS!

Antonella will be managing the LSS InfoLab in Van Hise Hall and providing desktop computer support to faculty and staff in Van Hise and surrounding buildings. Antonella previously worked at LSS as a Project Assistant and Lab Intern.

Antonella is a native of Ugento, Italy which is near the city of Lecce (in the heel of the boot). She is currently a dissertator in the UW-Madison Department of Slavic Languages and Literature and has ten years of experience teaching Italian, Russian, and 19th and 20th century Russian literature in translation. Sometime during those ten years she discovered her love of instructional technology, and during the past two summers she provided technology support to faculty and students in the Davis School of Russian at Middlebury College.

For many years the InfoLab has been ably managed by Sue Weier and Brad Schantz. After a transition period Sue will be concentrating on other projects within LSS while Antonella takes the lead in the InfoLab. Brad will be leaving us to concentrate on his dissertation in Hebrew and Semitic Studies, and we will miss him.

We thank Sue and Brad for making things run so smoothly the past few years. They'll certainly be a hard act for Antonella to follow, and we wish Antonella the best as she approaches this new task with her usual verve.
