If you answered "C" you are correct!

Many LSS patrons already know Bruno Browning as Director of L&S Learning Support Services. Lately you may also have heard him referred to as CIO of the College of Letters & Science. What does this mean?

What it means is that Bruno is now playing two roles in the College - continuing as LSS Director and adding CIO of the College of Letters & Science. As CIO he reports to L&S Dean Gary Sandefur and chairs the L&S IT Committee. He also represents the IT interests of the College on campus committees and working groups.

Bruno's goals for the next year include improving the overall IT-security level across the College, establishing a more consistent level of basic IT services that departments can expect, and facilitating the work of L&S IT professionals in their departments, in cross-department collaborations, and in their participation in upcoming campus-level IT initiatives.

"I've really enjoyed getting re-acquainted with IT leaders from around the College over the last several months," Bruno said, "and am looking forward to working with them going forward. We're going to have some tough problems to solve in IT over the next few years, and L&S is lucky to have the people we have as we riddle our way through them."

He also said that he welcomes the opportunity to discuss IT needs in the College of Letters & Science and may be reached at bruno@lss.wisc.edu or 262-1408.
