Learn@UW: More than just a course Web site

DoIT Academic Technology is again offering free training sessions for Learn@UW on January 17 and 18. Topics include:

  • Overview of Learn@UW: Quick overview of what Learn@UW offers.
  • Distributing Course Materials in Learn@UW: Learn how to share handouts, slides, notes, links, media and announcement through Learn@UW.
  • Effective Online Discussions in Learn@UW: Learn how to create and facilitate conversations online using discussion boards and chat rooms.
  • Quizzes, Exams and Surveys in Learn@UW: Create effective online assessments that can save you time.
  • Managing Assignments in Learn@UW: Keep students' submissions out of your email! Use the dropbox to collect and return assignments.
  • Managing Grades in Learn@UW: Most popular feature with students! Save time and hassle using the secure gradebook.

Since 2003, Learn@UW been home to more than 20,000 course web sites. Nearly all UW-Madison students log into Learn@UW each semester and access course materials, assignments, and grades. Approximately 2,000 instructors each semester manage their course's online presence in Learn@UW.
