TV on Your Desktop!

November 10, 2005 by Brian Deith

Thanks to the high speed 21st Century Network, you can now access television programming right on your own computer! You must, of course, be connected to the network, but with little setup you can soon be watching CNN, PBS, and even local channels such as WKOW, WMTV, and WISC.

  • Go to the DATN home page for instructions on setting up your computer with the necessary software.
  • Go to the DATN Channels page to select a channel for viewing.

We're particularly excited because at least two foreign language channels are available: TV5 from France, and RTVI from Russia. Over time, LSS hopes to join these broadcasters in making language and other video materials available on our own channel.

If you have questions about using DATN in Van Hise Hall, contact us or DoIT (from the DATN page).

What's next? Dust off your Dick Tracy watches... and get ready for the NRBT (Next Really Big Thing!)
