Videotaping Services

The Video Resource Center provides VHS videotaping services for teacher self-evaluation, classroom student presentations, panel discussions, special lectures, cultural events, performances, and other events both on- and off- campus. Mini-DV productions also include labor and material costs as well as special consultation with one of our staff members. In order to ensure, our service, please give two weeks notice prior to the taping date. While we would like to accomodate every taping , our limited staff makes that quite difficult.

If your taping is to take place in Van Hise Hall, we ask that you consider using the videocamera carts and camcorders with tripods that are available in the LSS AV Pool. The carts are easy to use and readily available for last-second shoots. Of course, you need to supply your own cameraperson and videotape. To reserve equipment and receive instruction on its use, contact the AV/Media Services Desk in 275 Van Hise Hall. (262-1678). All borrowers, including faculty, must be registered with LSS and present a valid UW ID to use AV equipment.

If you would like to schedule ahead for a taping session beyond the two week period, you can fill out this simple form. A reply will be sent to confirm your reservation.
