Projecting: Multiple presentations in one class period

If multiple students will give presentations on the same day, there are a couple of options, each with its own advantages and disadvantages, for techincal set up.

Option 1 -- One computer + many thumb drives

ARTstor: a million images for education and scholarship

African maskIf a single picture is worth a thousand words, how many words might one million high-quality images you can use in PowerPoint presentations, online or printed course materials, or even scholarly publications be worth?

Fortunately, you don't have to do the math, because the UW General Library System has purchased the license for ARTstor, a "digital library of nearly one million images in the areas of art, architecture, the humanities, and social sciences with a set of tools to view, present, and manage images for research and pedagogical purposes", available free to UW-Madison faculty, staff, and students.
