Welcome friends and visitors.
About My Work
My work for the University of Wisconsin-Madison
began in 1972 and since 1983 I have been the Director of the Video
Resource Center(VRC)(VRC) which is the video and multi-media arm of Learning
Support Services, a service organization of the College
of Letters and Science.
The VRC has a reputation of producing award winning telecourses such as History
102-American History from the Civil War to Nixon and Scandinavian
375-The Writings of Hans Christian Andersen. For a full accounting of my work
please see my Curriculum VITA. My office is located in 299
Van Hise Hall and has the usual computer and other media components but you'll
also find it filled with many plants, as I enjoy indoor gardening as well as outdoors.
I guess I like to be surrounded by growing things, which is probably why our family
is larger than most.
.
About My Family and Me:
I am a fun loving born again Catholic Christian and am at more than a half century,
which is old according to most young people, especially my kids. I am happily
married to Kathy Bodilly since 1978. She has a BA in Social
Work from the UW-Madison and was raised about 3/4's of a mile from the Packer's
Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI. Guess who's her favorite NFL team? We have been
blessed with 6 wonderful children and live in a vintage 1917 home on Madison's
east side isthmus between Lake Mendota and Lake Monona.
Born 6/18/80, is currently working at O & A Manufacturing after receiving
his BS degree in Industrial Engineering at the UW-Madison. He was married to our
wonderful daughter-in-law, Jill Bren, in June 2005 and they live in Verona, WI.
Jill is working on her PhD. in Education also at the UW-Madison. Micah has been
in the Who's Who Among American High School Students and was in the Honor Society
in high school, on the basketball and baseball teams at Abundant Life Christian
School and continues to play different sports on city-wide teams.
Born 9/25/82, is a 2006 graduate of UW-Whitewater majoring in Business focusing
on advertising/art. He has been on the honor role for many semesters throughout
his high school career at East Madison High School. He is an avid sports player
and fan. He especially enjoys playing baseball, a pitcher like his grandpa Ben
Rinzel who had signed with the St. Louis Cardinals many years ago. He also enjoys
playing volleyball and basketball.
Born 6/21/85, is finishing his second year at Christ for the Nation's Institute(CFNI),
a non-denomiational Bible School in Dallas, TX. He graduated from Abundant Life
Christian High School with honors. He's an accomplished violin player who began
playing at 4 years old and has played in the Madison`s Youth Symphony Orchestra
for 3 years. He has been playing guitar and is currently putting together a CD
of original music written by himself and others in his Madison based band. He
is one of the guitarists featured on the new CD that will be released sometime
in summer 2006 by CFNI. He enjoys reading, singing and writing music. He also
loves sports, basketball, track, and baseball. When he comes back to Madison you
may see him working at Culver's on Cottage Grove Road.
Born 6/22/87, is a tall 6'2" and is a 2006 graduate of Abundant Life Christian
School. He was on the honor roll every semester and showed his prowess in football,
basketball, baseball and if ALCS had track he would have done well there too as
he did at St. James Grade School. He is very energetic and never can be still
or without friends around him. He can do most anything he puts his mind to. His
plans for the future are in God's hands as he is not sure what he will be doing.
Born 11/19/89, is a warm, loving, bright, energetic young lady at Abundant Life
Christian School. She continues to be on the honor roll every semester, plays
volleyball, basketball and sings in the choir. She also plays piano and flute
and has a beautiful singing voice.
Born 10/11/94, is a super energetic blue eyed blond girl who everyone falls in
love with at first sight. She's home schooled in fifth grade and has been doing
well in playing violin for a couple of years. She enjoys singing, leaning piano
and guitar too. She always loves to be with friends, like Timmy, Julia and Joel
. She always has things to do for anyone around her, especially her God-father
Steven.
