Lecture Recording and Classrooms for Live Video Sessions

L&S Learning Support Services (LSS) maintains media recording facilities in Van Hise Hall that are available to all L&S instructors.

      • Lecture Capture Classroom: This self-service room is best for an instructor who needs to record course content in a conventional classroom environment. The room is equipped with a physical whiteboard and can capture signals from a video camera, microphone, and computer. Repeating reservations are welcome. Maximum room capacity: Two people.
      • Video Production Studio: The video studio is a multi-purpose space with a lecture capture workstation and a separate area to record course introductions and lectures with a video camera. Please consult with LSS staff about your needs. Capacity: three people (including production staff)
      • Rooms to Host Synchronous Video Sessions: If you need a classroom to run a synchronous video class session, LSS has three classrooms equipped with large monitors, echo-canceling microphones, and pan/tilt/zoom cameras. Maximum capacity: One person.
