March Madness is upon us here at UW in more ways than one. Not only did the Badgers earn a number one seed in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament and recently advance to the Sweet Sixteen, but congratulations are also in order to many UW-Madison faculty. So far this month 13 UW faculty members were honored with awards, five of those being College of Letters and Science professors.

On March 5th, nine faculty members were awarded with Romnes Faculty Fellowships. These awards are given too those who’ve achieved tenure in the past six years and who perform at extraordinary levels. Learning Support Services is proud to announce Letters and Science professors Gregory Nemet, Eric Raimy and Tehshik Yoon were all awarded Romnes Faculty Fellowships, each receiving an unrestricted $50,000 award for research.
Just a week later, more awards were handed out to UW-Madison faculty once again. On March 12th, four faculty members were honored with Hilldale Awards. This award annually recognizes scholarly contributions in teaching, research, and service since 1987. Two of the four winners are James Skinner and Rachel Feldhay Brenner, of Letters and Science professors, who earned the prestigious award along with $7,500.
LSS again wants to congratulate all award winners on their success this month, and March isn’t over yet. On Wisconsin!
