LessonShare

LessonShare is an online repository tool that allows instructors to upload and share lessons, handouts, and other teaching materials with others in their department or program. LessonShare is built with Drupal and uses structured taxonomies to help communities of instructors better organize and share teaching materials with other authorized users. To date, LessonShare has been primarily used by graduate student instructors in language and writing-centric departments, but is open to all L&S users.

At present, thirteen departments or programs in the College of L&S use LessonShare to:

  • preserve activities and lessons created by a teaching community
  • encourage mentoring and discussion of teaching practice
  • facilitate innovative materials development
  • encourage instructors to adapt lessons for diverse learning styles and teaching scenarios
